Meet Penny

Penny is an absolute sweetheart, known for her quiet and calm demeanor. She thrives on the company of her humans and prefers to be by their side wherever they go.

Penny is great with other dogs, cats, and children of all ages. She is housetrained and will reliably let her fosters know when she needs to go outside. She enjoys walks, her kennel, and meeting new people. A fast learner, Penny understands commands such as "no," "down," "up," "back-up," "sit," "come," "out," "bedtime," "kennel," and "lay down."

Upon her arrival with PAWS, it was observed that Penny showed signs of discomfort in her back legs. An x-ray of her lumbar spine and hips revealed no previous fractures, but the vet noted the early signs of hip dysplasia. Additionally, it is believed she is developing Cauda Equina Syndrome, which has resulted in her rear foot occasionally knuckling.

Penny has worn down teeth from her previous life, which means she may not try solid or hard items like bones. However, she has no issues eating kibble.

Currently, she is not on any medications but takes a joint supplement and CBD oil daily. It is recommended that her forever home continues this regimen.

Penny is ready to find a loving family who will appreciate her gentle spirit and care for her unique needs.
